Max Reed was awarded the 2015 Adobe Photography Jam Best in Show and People’s Choice for his photographs of the Little Haiti community. Reed was also named Miami’s 2014 Photographer of the Year by RAW Artists Miami. In 2013, he received Best in Show, People’s Choice and Best Event Photographer by the Capture Coral Gables and Coral Gables Museum.
Reed is a Miami-based commercial photographer and production coordinator. His photography and videos have been produced nationally and internationally for clients including Audi, Facebook, Lacoste, Redbull and The New York Times.
Over the past 7 years, he’s traveled the world to hone the art of storytelling. As a photojournalist he’s documented cultural immersion and volunteer projects of aboriginals in Australia, Fijian island communities and worked on community organization projects in rural villages of La Cuarta and Capa Rosa, Mexico. Recently he worked on a documentary in Camaguey, Cuba telling the story of a family reconnecting to their roots after nearly 60 years stateside. During this trip he produced a series of portrait and street photography in addition to the mini documentary.
Reed is a concept-driven artist who uses interdisciplinary training and resourcefulness to create his productions, interviews and installations.
Reed travels between North and South Florida and is available for assignments abroad.
